1 million children are reported missing in the US and the UK every year. If less than 200 of these are murdered, where do all the rest go? This would be like loosing the population of a city such as Amsterdam every year. Millions of children are going missing every year, they are never seen, heard of or found.
Globally, 607 people go missing every single day, without a trace. Over a year, this totals 221,644 missing individuals; over twenty years, this totals 4,432,880 - more than the population of New Zealand, or almost the entire population of Ireland (2011 statistics)
Typically, 50% of these missing persons cases go unsolved and most are never found. Those that are found are found in very unusual circumstances for example many are found dead with their shoes missing and their clothes removed and neatly folded by their heads. There are some cases in which victims are found alive suffering from amnesia.
In both cases, victims are found in places nearly impossible to get to even for expert hikers. So the question then is, how are these missing people especially the children making their way to these locations? What are your theories? Here is a video on the subject if you're not familiar with the whole missing 411 subject...
I've come to the conclusion that I have no theory! Ive heard everything from drug dealers growing weed in National parks, human trafficking by the government to nature spirits, aliens, black projects, vampires, werewolves and big foot...
One of the most interesting cases I've heard is of a little 2 year old boy found alive who went missing and was found on a sandbar in the middle of a lake completely dry. The child when questioned said that he was taken into a mountain where he saw robotic type men with guns and that a woman asked him to defecate on a napkin. The child refused so they put the child on the sandbar on the lake ...that just baffles me.
From what I've researched it seems there are certain criteria that will cause you to go missing. Here is a list of things that you should never do in a National park:
This is all I know for now but I will update this list as needed

- Don't go alone... Under any circumstances even if you're just going two feet away.
- Don't wear bright clothing...almost all of those who have gone missing have been known to have been wearing brightly colored clothing
- If your dog runs off or disappears run with someone in the opposite direction and get help. Never ever follow the dog or any other animal. Research has shown this is one of the ways people have been lured and then completely vanished
- Stay away from bodies of water... Those who have gone missing especially children have been known to go missing mostly around bodies of water, especially large ones
This is all I know for now but I will update this list as needed
